The FIN T1 is a table made entirely from cardboard. All the material comes from the packaging industry. The core material of the table is recycled vertical corrugated cardboard. As a result of its sandwich construction, this corrugated cardboard is very light and still very strong. The table is finished with a special watertight Kraftliner cardboard that comes from drinks packaging and given a final coat of an environment-friendly parquet varnish, making the surface is hard and water-resistant.
The table consists of several parts, is collapsible and is easy to transport. A Kevlar-sisal span-wire system makes it a single structure which gives the table its necessary stability. FIN T1 is a product of CelluLab, Amsterdam. In this workshop cum laboratory, products are developed, designed and tested. Other furniture is designed on the basis of the FIN T1 as well.
